    Greater San Antonio Area Pre Season Top 10 Girls Basketball Rankings

    Ranking/School District Record Notes
    1. Steele 26-6A 0-0 Loaded with talent and experience. Aja Holmes (TCU), Zaya Price, Aaliyah McMillan, and Bria McClure all return to lead the Knights. Look for Bria McClure to have a break out season as she takes over the point with the departure of Angline Sanchez (OLLU).
    2. Brandeis 28-6A 0-0 Senior leadership will be key for the Broncos. Seniors Ariana Villa (Texas Tech Softball), Sophia Harberer, Kaia Herrera, and sophomore Alexis Parker-Guzman return from last season's area finalist team.
    3. Reagan 27-6A 0-0 Sophomore forward Christeen Iwuala and senior guard Julliette Martinez return. Expect freshman Sammie Wagner (Baylor) to make an immediate impact for the Rattlers this season along with some talented underclassmen.
    4. Judson 26-6A 0-0 Kyra White (USC) and Corina Carter (New Mexico) are gone. But highly touted junior Kierra Sanderlain and 5 returning lettermen are back from last season's state championship team. Lookout for Amira Mabry. Sanderlain and Mabry should make a nice one two punch for the Rockets this season.
    5. Veterans Memorial 26-5A 0-0 Highly recruited senior Sahara Jones and fellow senior Brenna Perez make a powerful duo that will be hard to beat in District 26-5A
    6. Johnson 26-6A 0-0 The Jaguars return sophomores Sierra McDermed and Kylee Norman. Seniors Xochilt Mendoza, Jayla Taylor, and April Proctor are also back. Remember the name Ja'Shelle Johnson. The speedy freshman guard should make an early impact in the Jaguar backcourt.
    7. Smithson Valley 26-6A 0-0 Senior Anika McGarity (College of Charleston) and junior Trinity Garrett are back to lead the Rangers in District 26-6A
    8. Boerne Champion 26-5A 0-0 Last season's team leading scorer, Caitlin Moon, Hannah Barraza, and Prestley Hammond return from last season's Bi-District Finalist Team
    9. Wagner 26-5A 0-0 Jordan Weaver, the area's leading scorer and rebounder from last season returns along with junior Talia Gardner and Jaelyn Salton to provide talented experience for the Thurderbirds.
    10. Edison 27-5A 0-0 Stat sheet stuffer Avalon Munoz, Madylynn Zavala, and Triston Munoz are back to give the Bears an experienced trio to make another play off run this season.
    Honorable Mention
    **Clark 28-6A 0-0 Junior Sydney Solitaire and Sophmore Hailey Adams return from last year's regional finalist squad. Expect a breakout season from Hailey Adams.
    Highlands 27-5A 0-0 Do it all senior guard Layla Mendoza (SWAGU) returns to lead the Owls
    Harlan 28-5A 0-0 Senior Jaisa Norris, the Hawk's top returning scorer from last season's play off team is back to lead the Hawks.
